Experienced. Accessible. Client-Focused.
Ellen Chadwell has been practicing law in the State of Florida since 1993, bringing over three decades of legal experience to the table. For 16 years, she represented both public and private clients in a range of legal matters before launching her own firm in 2009 — a move driven by her passion for delivering high-quality, personalized legal services at affordable rates.
Ellen’s mission is simple: to provide exceptional legal support with the kind of personal attention and flexibility that larger firms often overlook. That mission powers her broad service offerings, which include both transactional and litigation matters, as well as flexible fee structures and accessible, client-focused support.
A graduate of Florida State University College of Law, Ellen began her career in Tallahassee representing clients in civil and administrative litigation. While her early work focused on eminent domain, inverse condemnation, regulatory takings, and administrative law challenges, she also cultivated a well-rounded practice that included family law and general civil matters — experience that continues to inform her comprehensive approach today.
Whether you’re navigating a complex legal issue or simply need trusted advice, Ellen is committed to providing the insight, advocacy, and care your case deserves.
From Public Service to Personalized Advocacy
After relocating to Naples in 1998, Ellen broadened her legal focus to include commercial, contract, and family law—building on her diverse experience and expanding her ability to serve a wide range of clients. In 2000, she accepted a position as Assistant County Attorney for Collier County, where her role placed her at the center of one of the most active periods of growth and development in the region’s history.
During her tenure, Ellen played a pivotal role in Collier County’s real estate acquisition and infrastructure expansion. She was personally involved in the acquisition of over 1,000 parcels of land—whether through purchase or condemnation litigation—including several high-profile properties such as the Naples Zoo, the last privately held parcel in Lely Barefoot Beach, land for Conservation Collier, and the development of Freedom Park.
In late 2008, Ellen transitioned from public service to private practice, opening her own firm in 2009. Her extensive government and litigation experience now fuels her client-centered approach, offering the insight and strategic skill needed to handle complex legal matters with precision and care.
